Our Story

Malaysia's specialty coffee,
all on one map.

The Beans Hub gathers every specialty coffee bean roasted in Malaysia into one place — searchable by taste, origin, roast level and process — then sends you straight to the roaster to buy it fresh.

…from 53 Malaysian roasters, and counting.

Taste first.

Chocolatey and smooth? Bright and fruity? Start from the flavours you already love — not from labels you have to decode. Every bean is grouped into 8 taste families so you always know what you're getting into.

Roasters, front and centre.

Every listing names the Malaysian roaster behind it. Small-batch roasters in KL, Penang, Johor and beyond are doing world-class work — our job is to make sure you find them.

Buy direct. Always.

We don't sell beans and we never will. When you've found the one, we point you straight to the roaster's own store — fresher beans for you, the full sale for them.

Finding great coffee here shouldn't be this hard.

The Beans Hub started with a Saturday morning wasted across eleven Instagram pages and four Shopee tabs — and still no beans in the cart.

If you drink specialty coffee in Malaysia, you know the routine. You stumble across a roaster by luck, screenshot a bag you can't find again, or give up and grab whatever's on the shelf. The roasters are here — brilliant ones — but there was no single place to see what they'd all roasted this week.

So we built one. The Beans Hub is a discovery platform, not a shop. We catalogue the beans, standardise the taste notes, list the origin, process, roast level and price — and then we hand you over to the roaster to buy direct. We've done the legwork so your only job is choosing between the washed Ethiopia and the anaerobic Colombia.

Every bean here supports a local roaster. Every purchase goes straight to them. And every week the map gets a little more crowded — which is exactly how we like it.

Three steps. No account. No checkout.

Things people ask us.

No — and that's the point. Every bean links straight to the Malaysian roaster who roasted it. You buy direct from them, so your beans ship fresher and the roaster keeps the full sale.

We catalogue specialty-grade beans roasted in Malaysia. Each listing is organised by taste notes (grouped into 8 taste families), origin, processing method, roast level and price, so you can compare beans from different roasters side by side.

Completely. Browse, filter and click out to any roaster without an account or a fee. Some roasters share a small referral when you buy through our links — it never changes the price you pay.

Get in touch through our contact page. Listing is currently free — we exist to send coffee lovers to you. If you're already listed and something needs updating, tell us and we'll fix it.

We group every bean's taste notes into 8 families — Fruity, Nutty/Cocoa, Floral, Sweet, Spices, Roasted, Sour/Fermented and Green/Vegetative — based on the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) flavour wheel. Start with a family you already enjoy and work outward from there.
